Job Description Sales Estimator Commercial/Residential Restorations Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing field notes, sketches, pictures, and plans/specifications. Perform quantity take-offs for select trades. Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor assistance Create written estimates for customers that describe work estimated in an easy to read format utilizing Xactimate, Microsoft Word and Excel. Create or improve templates to speed up the estimating process and improve consistency. Produce pricing for time-sensitive field change orders. Update and maintain a field project file. Coordinate with designers to get the most up-to-date pricing on homeowner selections. Coordinate with designers to update a standards program and popular upgrades for home owners. Interact with General Manager, field team, architects, engineers and local jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc. Conduct project reviews prior to job starts with General Manager and Superintendents. Review past estimates for accuracy and incorporate findings in process improvements and recommendations. Meet on site with subcontractors and trades for estimate and bid purposes Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
