This position is responsible for ordering, and preparing food items (lunch & dinner) for residents of the assigned Green House. This position is responsible for delivery of quality service, promoting good public relations, and for upholding the mission and standards of the facility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work as part of a team, a keen sense of taste and smell, and personal cleanliness are important qualifications. Ability to accurately follow instructions both verbal and written and to accurately weigh and measure food ingredients required. Ability to remain level headed, use common sense and work independently are essential. Must be able to hear machinery operating. Ability to read and write legibly in English. Ability to learn jobs quickly and perform many different jobs. Ability to work on food service computer to print recipes and production sheets.
Valid Food Handler Permit- cooks level CPR certification is preferred.
EDUCATION/TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Six months of experience in quantity food production in health care facility or similar competency level preferred.
