Duties & Responsibilities The Cost Control Lead will provide day-to-day support for projects. Specific responsibilities include the development of systems and processes for commercial disciplines of cost and revenue forecasting\/reporting, fiscal data integrity, change management, budgetary contingency management, contract business process compliance, maximizing margin, project stakeholder\u2019s interface, facilitation and resolution of issues that may affect project financial objectives. Understand, develop, and deploy project cost codes to effectively capture all project costs within performance databases for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Project Management (EPCCPM) projects. Understand, develop, issue, and maintain ownership of project financial forecasting with project manager and project staff. Accurately and effectively, ensure all data is entered and reviewed prior to reporting period close. Works with project managers and project staff to review and approve project charges prior to reporting period close. Performs financial analysis against plan for control accounts, work packages, and projects assigned. Participates in monthly project reviews as appropriate, supporting project team. Provides project-charging guidance to all employees, contractors, and subcontractors in the execution of work. Reviews all requisitions and contracts for appropriate budget, verifies charge codes prior to recommendation of approval \/ processing. Responsible and accountable for the processing and accuracy of the project ACWP, BAC, and EAC at all levels of the breakdown structure. Establishes and maintains project logs including budget, contingency, management reserve, undistributed budget. Develop, implement, and issue WBS dictionary and index for all scopes of work. Technical and working knowledge of cost processor database software platforms (Ares Prism G2, Deltek Cobra) Responsible and accountable to project manager and project controls manager for project and corporate reporting requirements of project. Provide to the Project Manager all needed elements needed to issue Weekly\/Monthly Reports Requirements Bachelor\u2019s Technical degree preferred\u00a0(engineering, applied science, computing, finance, or related field)preferred. 5 years experience in project controls cost engineering or controls financial roles of EPCC projects. Demonstrated experience in deployment of a work breakdown structure for use in cost engineering for EPCC projects. Ability to analyze, communicate, recommend, implement and report cost information to various audiences including subcontractors, project staff, corporate leadership, and project controls functional leadership. Proven track record of hands on experience in project cost controls with acumen to support project execution and corporate requirements. Advanced knowledge of project controls engineering concepts, specifically cost engineering skills. Experience on Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning (EPCC) projects is required. Experience on EPCC projects over $100MM ($100 Million US) is highly desirable. Ability to travel to support both project and corporate needs. Demonstrated high degree of foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project cost abnormalities. Experience with the following software applications o ARES Prism G2 o Deltek Cobra o Cost analytical software and systems o Oracle EPM financial systems Demonstrated high degree of foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project cost abnormalities.
