The Estimator I is responsible for working closely with other Preconstruction team members to assist with the successful delivery of design phase services.
Estimator I typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist lead estimator in performing conceptual estimating on civil, architectural, and structural project estimates (total project volume: $5mm to $15mm)
Produce quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for a project from its early inception through an acceptable working budget, GMP, or Lump Sum Price
Coordinate project documents for the GMP and Lump Sum Bid project delivery methods.
Assist in detailed reviews of civil, architectural and structural subcontractor’s scope before bid submission.
Using typical estimating software for take-offs and quantities
Obtain and present unit pricing data
Responsible for documenting clarifications and qualifications within an estimate
Solicit back up for estimates to be used during analysis and review
Bachelor in Engineering or construction management
0-2 years relevant experience
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Use of Timberline software, On Screen take-off and site work software tools for take-offs
Basic understanding of estimating
