PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Estimator I is responsible for conceptualizing and interpreting the scope of work from both incomplete or schematic documents and complete detailed documents as well as working closely with other Preconstruction team members to assist with the successful delivery of design phase services. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Estimator I typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:u00a0 Perform both conceptual and detailed estimating on civil, architectural and structural portions of projects ranging in size from $10M to $100 M Prepare detailed QTOu2019s for Divisions 1 u2013 12 & 14 and SOWu2019s for Divisions 13, 15 & 16. Work with Chief Estimator in preparing conceptual estimates for Design u2013 Build projects. Produce quantitative surveys and accurate pricing for a project to support a Lump Sum Price. Coordinate project documents for Lump Sum Bid project delivery methods. Lead detailed reviews of civil, architectural and structural subcontractoru2019s scope before award of project contracts. Obtain and present unit pricing data. Responsible for outlining clarifications and qualifications within an estimate. Provide back up for estimates to be used during analysis and review. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or equivalent degree Minimum 3 u2013 5 years experience as an estimator. Proficient in MS Office with a working knowledge of iSqFt, Costworks, OST and Timberline. Working knowledge of scopes and quantities from plans and specifications.
