Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY: As a key member of MCs building automation and controls group, the Sales Estimator is responsible for identifying MC2 sales opportunities and establishing relationships with key customers and potential clients. Be able to present solutions to customers utilizing presentation skills with programs such as Microsoft power point. Utilize negotiation skills in order to close business opportunities. Support the consulting engineering community by technically supporting the control solutions provided. Experience in Schneider Electric Legacy systems, I/A Series, Vista and/or Continuum as well as Niagara in R2 and/or AX and Microsoft SQL preferred. This position is in our home office Sanford Florida PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Proficiency in MS Windows and MS office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint are mandatory Organize project bids and put them on bid schedule Maintain Bid database and FTP site for bidding projects Review project specifications and read blue prints Organizational, math, time management, and writing skills are mandatory Estimate DDC control solutions per plans and specifications Generate scope proposals based on estimates Able to communicate with MC2 account team and manage local projects, direct sub-contractors, technicians and other MC2 employees to profitability and competitively complete estimates in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: MS Office Suite Knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm and smoke removal systems, engineering, installation, and construction procedures preferred. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2-3 years experience preferred Ability to interact with all levels of personnel to include department and project managers, engineers, sales personnel, and service and control technicians Strong customer service skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
