u003cpu003eThe Senior Project Controls Manager will work for BCu0026rsquo;s National Project Management Office and will provide the project controls leadership and support needed to achieve business and project goals and objectives at a company-wide level. In this role you will be enabling standardized delivery from investment life cycle management, funding, planning, design, execution, and closeout.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eAdditionally, you will build a team of project controls specialists as well as provide functional leadership, guidance and mentoring across the organization.u003c/pu003enu003cpu003eThe Senior Project Controls Manager is responsible for directly leading the development of project control tools and systems, relevant policies, training, implementation, and follow-up to ensure proper adoption and utilization.u0026nbsp; You will use a scalable approach to drive continuous project controls improvements across a wide range of project and contract types from traditional design to fast-paced design-build efforts. Essential functions include: u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eSet the strategic company-wide direction for Project Controls with accountability for the overall delivery of strategyu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003ePolicies and Proceduresnu003culu003enu003cliu003eUpdate policies and procedures for project controls to be consistent with best-practice methods, in a scalable manner consistent with PMI as appropriateu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eTools and Systemsnu003culu003enu003cliu003ePromote and develop project controls setup, compliance, and performance within the companiesu0026rsquo; current and evolving suite of tools and systems (project management system, satellite/client specific PMIS systems, ERP etc.)u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eSupport any future configurations and integrations between systems to ensure consistency with project controls best-practicesu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eProgram and Large Project Controlsnu003culu003enu003cliu003eProvide hands-on set up and ongoing support for large clients/projects and programsu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eOversee project controls effectiveness and compliance utilizing strong analytical views to lead the project teams to ensure proper evaluation and analysisu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eDeploy strategic level change management to build organizational competency and capacity around cost, schedule, and earned value managementnu003culu003enu003cliu003eResponsible for advancing the company maturity model around schedule management,u0026nbsp;earned value management and cost managementu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eDevelop, implement, and maintain external and internal and client-facing as appropriate cost reports, cash flows and forecastsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eTrain and enable staff and provide leadership in analyzing project controls reports, present findings and provide recommendations to the project controls team and stakeholders to inform corrective actionsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAdvance best practices around variance analysis in cost and schedule performance against the plans including stakeholder communication and change management protocolsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eAdvance the existing framework around engineering, procurement and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control including committed cost managementu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eProject Controls Group Development and Ongoing Maturitynu003culu003enu003cliu003eCentralize project controls as a function and build and maintain a legacy group within the existing PMO responsible for driving improvements on cost and schedule controls (Project Controls) across the company with a focus on lager projects and programs.u003c/liu003enu003cliu003ePromote project controls as a viable career path for junior and mid-level professional staffu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eTrain staff and provide leadership on methods for collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and reporting of project scope, cost, and schedule control information to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas identified for corrective actionu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eActively participate in project oversight for select efforts from a cost and schedule control perspectiveu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eExhibit proactive safety leadership and behavior and lead remote teamsu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eProvide guidance and mentoring for project controls activitiesu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eActively participate in the companyu0026rsquo;s PMO leadership group and support related initiativesu003c/liu003enu003c/ulu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eu0026nbsp;u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eDesired Skills and Experience:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003culu003enu003cliu003eB.S. in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field (e.g. oil and gas or manufacturing)u003c/liu003enu003cliu003eA minimum of 15 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry with a focus on project controls including functions such as estimating, cost management, scheduling, and project oversightu003c/liu003enu003cliu003eFamiliarity with P6, MS Project with an ability to drive initiatives related to scheduling and these software packagesu003c/liu003enu003cliu003ePractical experience leading configuration and implementation of project controls software systems (design and integration) as well as design and adoption of supporting business processes;
