Duties include leading the Pricing andEstimating team through proposal development, pricing analysis, pricingstrategy, compliance to company policies and government requirements, problemsolving, and training of personnel. Thisrole requires working closely with cross-functional teams such as businessdevelopment, program management, contracts, finance, procurement, engineering, andmanufacturing to develop pricing strategies against our competition and setprice points for our products. Must be capableof managing workload and deliverables against strict timelines and meetingexpectations in a detail-oriented, performance-driven business environment. Responsible for development of financialanalysis for all proposals including margin analysis, risks and opportunitiesanalysis, and cash flow schedule. Desirable qualities for the candidate would includegood organizational skills, ability to work concurrently on multiple and variedprojects, strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented,excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to utilize good commonsense, strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and ability to effectivelyinterface with both internal and external customers. Job duties include: Ability to effectively develop teamsand manage\/direct the workflow of others is required.Develop, train, and mentor direct reportsusing a formalized performance management process and positive leadershipexamples. Participates in determiningobjectives of work assignments, planning schedules, and arranging activities inaccomplishing objectives of the department. Strong business background withknowledge of all aspects of government and commercial job costing in anengineering development and manufacturing environment. Analysis of proposal bills ofmaterials, utilization of actual and estimated labor and procurement data,pricing and estimating practices, functional department estimates, and proposalauditing. Performs review and analysis ofcost proposals activities prior to submission to management for approval andnegotiation with customers to ensure cost data are current, accurate, andcomplete. Develops solutions to a variety ofcomplex proposal related problems using established policies and procedures. Works special assignments asrequired using independent judgment and initiative. Plan, execute & manage multipleprojects that include improvement reviews of business processes, particularlyon regulatory & compliance-related systems & programs. Advanced knowledge of GeneralAccounting processes, procedures, and rules and accounting systems to properlyapply the correct overheads, burdens, pricing factors, and other applicablerates & the application of pricing and costing principles, concepts, practices,and standards. Qualifications Qualifications: Position typically calls for aMasters Degree with 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelors Degree in Business,Finance, Math, Accounting, or related field with 7 years of related experience Aerospace & Defense industryexperience, problem solving ability, excellent analytical skills, and abilityto analyze and understand complex systems and processes are preferred. Must have working knowledge of FAR& DFARS with emphasis in preparing pricing proposals that are current,accurate, and complete. Stronginterpersonal, communication, & organizational skills are required. A self-starter, quick learner, andindependent work style which requires minimal supervision is also desirable forthis position. Strong Microsoft Excel skills arerequired. Working knowledge of ProPricer ispreferred.
