Description Reporting to the Associate Director, Construction Management, the Project Manager is responsible and accountable for implementing, coordinating, managing and overseeing Temple University\u2019s construction and renovation projects at the University\u2019s Health Sciences Center campus and Temple University Main Campus.The Project Manager may be assigned to provide start-to-finish oversight management and control of multiple projects and\/or direct full management responsibility for some assigned projects, whether staffed by contracted personnel, in-house staff and\/or construction teams cooperatively composed of both internal and external staff.In addition, on some projects, the Project Manager assumes limited proprietary oversight of the University\u2019s assets and interests throughout the life of the project by administering and enforcing relevant construction contracts and documentation to assure adherence to scope, budget, and scheduling of new construction, repair, and renovation projects.In all relevant activities, the Project Manager is accountable for effective management, control and direct oversight of assigned construction project\u2019s timely progress and achievements. Facilitates support personnel to effectively formulate, compile and finalize project\u2019s budgets, resource identification and schedules. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (Construction Management, Engineering, or related field experience), plus a minimum of 4-5 years\u2019 experience in construction and management including demonstrated construction team management assignments with documented budget responsibility. Experience in construction cost estimating, bidding, and construction coordinating. Experience within an academic, medical, or hospital environment is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: * Significant and progressive construction knowledge of construction practices.* Ability to prepare scopes of work, construction schedules and cost estimates for new construction, renovations and unit turnovers.* Demonstrate knowledge of finance (budget cash flow, etc.) and business practices.* Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and effectively execute in a fast-pace work environment.* Detail oriented with a focus on delivering high quality results.* Ability to work and communicate professionally and effectively with others at all levels of the organization.* Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.* Proven Track record of taking initiative, producing quality work, and meeting tight deadlines.* Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions.* Ability to complete and manage projects with minimal direction or supervision.* Understands business processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement.* Ability to support development and implementation of schedules for highly complex, multi-venue projects.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
